Step One: After 3 unexcused absences, the school should schedule an intervention with the student and parents/guardians.
Step Two: After 5th unexcused absences, notify Mr. Franzese so he can schedule a meeting with the Diversion Panel which includes a school administrator and school counselor. He will contact Traverse Social Services, which is also a part of the Diversion Panel.
Step Three: After a 7th unexcused absence, contact Traverse Social Services requesting a petition for habitual truancy.
