Step One: School should attempt to resolve truancy issues per state statute.
Step Two: School refers students to Jane via email or fax. Send attendance reports and prior letters/record of attempt to resolve issue.
Step Three: County will determine next steps but usually entail a court appearance for an admit/deny hearing and adjudication to probation oversight.
Note: For online schools in particular, it is very helpful for the court to have the attendance explanation and time within courses.
