Note: Lincoln, Lyon, and Murray counties - with more to be added next year - have a combined Health and Human Services Department through whom truancy goes. The county intake form goes to the same place for all.
Step One: School attempts to resolve truancy issue and sends a 3 day letter.
Step Two: After 5 unexcused days conduct a meeting and make a plan. If the school desires, a Human Services worker can attend. Contact Ms. Micheele Buysse if this is the case.
Step Three: After 7 unexcused days and the plan is not being followed or working, refer to Human Services by completing the Truancy Intake Form and attaching attendance records. Fax to: 507-836-8647.
