Crow Wing County
Truancy Contacts:
Amy Kummet
Email: amy.kummet@crowwing.us
Phone: 218-824-1199
Note: County has a policy of not filing on children over 17 because the parent can sign them out of school at that age and usually does once the court is
involved.
Step One: School sends letters and attempts to resolve the truancy issues.
Step Two: At seven days of truancy, school refers student to Amy (use the form below). Social Services will then determine whether to do diversion process or to refer student/family to court.
Step Three: Social Services monitors student progress and determines when to screen out or to refer student to court.
