Step One: School sends letter to parents and attempts to resolve truancy issues.
Step Two: School notifies Pam at five days (cumulative) marker or after the student continues to be truant after the first warning letter. County will send a letter of warning at this point as well.
Step Three: At seven (cumulative) or more truant days, the school should contact Benton County Human Services (Pam Foss). A social worker will offer services to the family, set up a diversion plan if appropriate, or assist the school in petitioning the student court if necessary.
