Note: If a student is 16 or older, parents have to request county intervention in order for the county to be involved.
Step One: School attempts to resolve the truancy issues in accordance with state statutes.
Step Two: School sends the seven day letter to family and contacts the county by faxing information to social services who will set up a meeting and determine the next steps in the process.
Step Three: School continues to update social services who will determine when/if to file a CHIPS petition.
