Step One:
School sends letter to student/family at the three day truancy point and attempts to resolve truancy issues with family.
Step Two: School contacts Chippewa County Family Services and consults with them.

Step Three: File a petition with county attorney's office if student continues to be truant (seven days minimum).
-Fax child info, parent info, and actual dates of absence.
-County attorney's office will draw up a petition and return it to the school.
-School official needs to have the signature notarized and return petition to county.
-Appearance in court by school offical is yet to be determined.
